Let’s get on with it.
User Interface
I kept this topic at first, as we spend most of the time in the page builder‘s editing interface. You need to keep your interface attractive and powerful. This is the tool to attract your audience.
Both of these two-page builders have an amazing interface but some who are quite different. Let’s see which of these two interfaces affect your decision.
Let’s get started:
Elementor Interface
There are two main sections in Elementor’s interface: Sidebar and live Preview. The sidebar is located left from where you can add elements, style them, and make use of other functionality.
And the other one is a live preview on the right side which shows a live preview of your design.
Its interface works by keeping the concept of blocks. On its sidebar, you can see different WordPress widgets and elements.
All such elements are useful to build your pages.
You are allowed to add its elements to your WordPress pages by drag and drop method. And also see its live preview.
Since the Elementor supports inline editing, you are free to edit your text simply by clicking and typing.
At the bottom of the interface, you will get access to some additional settings. Such as:
- General Setting: Allow you to manage your page’s title, featured image, publish status, and others
- Navigator: Provides navigation tree to make your navigation easier and convenient
- History: Helps you to go back to your previous revision
- Responsive Mode: It shows how your site looks on different screen
Beaver Builder Interface
Now while talking about the interface of Beaver Builder, it is quite minimalistic than the Elementor. It provides a full-width preview of your design.
At the top bar, you can see essential information about your current page.
If you want to add an element on your page, you can click the “+” button which is located on the upper right corner. You just need to drag and drop to add any elements or modules.
As per the widget editor, it is quite different than that of Elementor. Beaver Builder comes with a pop-up editor.
In case you don’t like the features of a pop-up editor, then you can drag it to the left or right of your screen. You can also perform in-line editing just like Elementor.
Beaver Builder has now the same layout as Elementor. Like Elementor, you are allowed to drag and drop its modules to the sidebar and add them to your design.
Winner: Elementor
After looking at the interface of both the page builders, I would say elementor is slightly better for ease of use but beaver builder is not far behind it has a much cleaner look.
Modules and Section
Modules are the building blocks through which the page builder design and craft your page’s content.
Modules like texts, headings, buttons, galleries, and other elements are necessary to make your content eye-catching.
Widgets or modules, both are the same thing. Elementor calls its elements Widgets, whereas Beavers calls Modules.
Here have a look, how its elements woks to make your content beautiful:
Elementor Widgets and Section
In Elementor, you can see three types of elements: Sections, Columns, and Widgets.
- Section: It is the highest element in the builder hierarchy. Both columns and widgets come inside the section.
- Column: Likewise, the column is the second layer of the builder hierarchy. And all the widgets lie inside it.
- Widgets: Elements like text, buttons, and images comes under widgets. These are responsible for making your site layout beautiful.
Elementor comes with 30 widgets in its free version and ~52 widgets in premium one.
If you want more, simply extend the Elementor with Ultimate Addons for Elementor. With this, you will get additional ~40 widgets which are amazing.
With this add on you can simply copy paste design from one website to another.
