Let’s get on with it.
I kept this topic at first, as we spend most of the time in the page builder‘s editing interface. You need to keep your interface attractive and powerful. This is the tool to attract your audience.
Both of these two-page builders have an amazing interface but some who are quite different. Let’s see which of these two interfaces affect your decision.
Let’s get started:
There are two main sections in Elementor’s interface: Sidebar and live Preview. The sidebar is located left from where you can add elements, style them, and make use of other functionality.
And the other one is a live preview on the right side which shows a live preview of your design.
Its interface works by keeping the concept of blocks. On its sidebar, you can see different WordPress widgets and elements.
All such elements are useful to build your pages.
You are allowed to add its elements to your WordPress pages by drag and drop method. And also see its live preview.
Since the Elementor supports inline editing, you are free to edit your text simply by clicking and typing.
At the bottom of the interface, you will get access to some additional settings. Such as:
- General Setting: Allow you to manage your page’s title, featured image, publish status, and others
- Navigator: Provides navigation tree to make your navigation easier and convenient
- History: Helps you to go back to your previous revision
- Responsive Mode: It shows how your site looks on different screen
Beaver Builder Interface
Now while talking about the interface of Beaver Builder, it is quite minimalistic than the Elementor. It provides a full-width preview of your design.
At the top bar, you can see essential information about your current page.
If you want to add an element on your page, you can click the “+” button which is located on the upper right corner. You just need to drag and drop to add any elements or modules.
As per the widget editor, it is quite different than that of Elementor. Beaver Builder comes with a pop-up editor.
In case you don’t like the features of a pop-up editor, then you can drag it to the left or right of your screen. You can also perform in-line editing just like Elementor.
Beaver Builder has now the same layout as Elementor. Like Elementor, you are allowed to drag and drop its modules to the sidebar and add them to your design.
Modules and Section
Modules are the building blocks through which the page builder design and craft your page’s content.
Modules like texts, headings, buttons, galleries, and other elements are necessary to make your content eye-catching.
Widgets or modules, both are the same thing. Elementor calls its elements Widgets, whereas Beavers calls Modules.
Here have a look, how its elements woks to make your content beautiful:
Elementor Widgets and Section
In Elementor, you can see three types of elements: Sections, Columns, and Widgets.
- Section: It is the highest element in the builder hierarchy. Both columns and widgets come inside the section.
- Column: Likewise, the column is the second layer of the builder hierarchy. And all the widgets lie inside it.
- Widgets: Elements like text, buttons, and images comes under widgets. These are responsible for making your site layout beautiful.
Elementor comes with 30 widgets in its free version and ~52 widgets in premium one.
If you want more, simply extend the Elementor with Ultimate Addons for Elementor. With this, you will get additional ~40 widgets which are amazing.
With this add on you can simply copy paste design from one website to another.
Beaver Builder Modules
Now coming to Beaver builder, it also divides its elements into three different categories: rows, columns, and modules.
- Rows: It is the largest container of Beaver builder means highest in the hierarchy

Templates are responsible for designing the layout of your site. Templates are much faster and effective. And you know what, both Elementor and Beaver builder offers templates for your site.
The best part is, templates are pre-designed elements. You just need to adjust as per your requirements. You will get several attractive templates from both the page builder.
You will get ~40 Templates in its free version whereas the premium one comes with 300 different pages and templates.
You will get its templates once you click on the “Add Templates” button. Once you click on that, you will get various options to choose from.
Elementor comes with two kinds of templates: Block and Page Templates.

You can easily use these templates for your site. If you have your own ideas for such templates, you are free to create and save your custom templates. If you save these templates, you can use it again on your site.

Beaver Builder doesn’t provide any templates in the free version all are in pro version. It provides ~40 beautiful templates that are divided into two categories: landing pages and content pages.
- Landing pages: Such pages are designed for home pages.

Styling feature is very important for any page builder, as it is responsible for providing an attractive look to your site.
You will get several attractive and responsive options from both Elementor and Beaver Builder.
Both the page builder provides control over styling options so that you can customize your site with perfection.
Elementor Styling Options
Elementor provides almost the same styling for most of its elements. Some of its styling options are Text color, Typography, Text shadow, and Blend Mode.
Apart from this elementor also provides theme styling options from there you can control the styling of your entire website.
But if you don’t want elementor to control the theme styling simply go to Elementor > Settings and check the following two options.
You can make basic styling for the style options.
After this all, if you are not satisfied with styling options, you can go to the advanced tab.
Here you will get options for custom margin and padding, scrolling effects, background settings, and many more. If you have a premium version, you are also able to add custom CSS to your styling.
The best part about the styling of Elementor, it allows you to set custom values for all sizes of screen. You will get control over your content on different devices.
Beaver Builder Styling Options
The styling of Beaver Builder is quite different than Elementor. It inherits all the fonts and colors from your installed theme on your site.
Its styling option is different for different elements. But normally, it offers style, separator, typography, and other advanced options.
When you are about to edit row or button, you will get different options like width, content width, height, color (link color, text color, link hover color), Background (type, color, and opacity), and Border.
And if you go for an advanced setting, you will get many more styling options like spacing, responsive layout, visibility, and several HTML elements.
Beaver builder doesn’t give any custom css option.
In Beaver builder you can just switch to the desired responsive mode and make all the changes at once.
Both Elementor and Beaver Builder offer powerful theme building features which will be very helpful for your site customization.
Elementor Theme Builder
Elementor unlocks the theme builder automatically once you upgrade the plugin to its premium version.
To get access to its theme builder, go to templates and then click on the theme builder option.
Here you can edit the templates for page, Header, Footer, Single Post, Archive, 404 Pages, and many others.
Its page builder work the same as its page editor. It will offer all the normal elements along with specific elements for the theme sections.
Once you are done with your custom templates, you will get full control over it with its powerful display conditions.
Beaver Theme Builder
For Beaver Builder, you have to install a separate plugin called Beaver Themer which might cost around $147.
Despite having the different activating processes, it works similar to Elementor. It is a really amazing tool for your customer which help them to create awesome custom themes.
With its theme builder, you are able to create custom templates like Header, Footer, Archive, Single posts, 404 pages, part, and others.
For creating template go to Beaver Builder > Add New, add a name to your template and choose the template type.
Once the template is created you can set various display conditions.
You can use the default beaver editor to create your template .
Beaver builder doesn’t provide any special modules for it’s theme builder, you have to use the default modules.
All the page builders have one or the other unique features which helps them stand apart from the rest. Let’s see what you will get with these page builders:
Elementor provides quite a few unique features like popup, forms and scrolling animation.
With elementor you can easily add motion effect to the elements of your website and create beautiful scrolling websites.
Beaver builder in this regard lacks a bit they don’t offer any such feature all are very much standard features.
In this modern web world, you want your website to be mobile-friendly, both elementor and beaver builder have great mobile responsive settings.
Elementor is a responsive page builder plugin. It helps you to create a responsive layout for your website.
It means your site is visible by all sizes of screens like mobile, desktop, tablet, and others.
Just look for this device icon which indicates you can have different settings for different devices.
Like Elementor, Beaver Builder is also responsive for all sizes of screen. Your site will look great even on mobile.
In beaver builder too you will find those device icons for responsive settings.
Speed and performance
Let’s see how the speed and performance is effected by using these page builders.
For the test, I’m using the Astra theme and Astra starter templates plugin without any caching plugin.
Form the above result you can see beaver builder has better performance, with the same layout beaver has smaller page size and less request compared to Elementor.
Well, both of the page builders come in free as well as premium versions. Their free version can be downloaded from WordPress.org.
But the point is what both costs for the premium version. So let’s have a look:
Elementor Pro comes with several additional features. The costing price varies as per the number of sites you will use. The pricing plans are like:
- Personal – $49/year (One website)
- Plus – $99/year (3 websites)
- Expert – $199/year (1000 websites)
All of the above plans come with 30 days money-back guarantee. So if you are not satisfied with its services, you will get your money back as per its policy.
Beaver Builder Price
Like Elementor, it also comes with some additional features. It costs $99 per year which goes up to $399 for the agency.
Along with the agency plan, you will also get Beaver Builder theme, White-Label branding, and multisite capabilities. Its pricing plans are like:
- Standard – $99/year (Unlimited site but no multisite support)
- Pro – $199 /year (Unlimited site with multisite)
- Agency – $399/year (Standard service and support for White-Label)
When you buy something you want to have after-sales support that’s even more important for WordPress plugins.
As per the one-star complaints, support appears as #1 complaint from its users. It seems that all of its free and premium version’s users are not totally satisfied with its support.
For unofficial support, you can join elementors official Facebook page which is quite helpful.
Beaver Builder comes with a dedicated support team. Even if you go through one-star complaints about support, you will see most of them are generic and even those have a response from the official support staff.
If you go for its premium version, you will get even better services as it provides self-support options for developers.
Ease of use
No matter whether you are a beginner or an expert, you can easily deal with both the page builder. Even you can use it for creating for landing pages.
One can say elementor is slightly easier to use but not by far, so it is very hard to choose between the two.
Both will give you an awesome experience when it comes to ease of use.
Who is the winner?
Well, from the above description, it is clear both the page builder is just amazing. No matter which one you choose, you will get the best product for your site.
But it seems like Elementor is more suited for designers and creative persons while Beaver builder is more for developers which offers a great framework to work with.
In the case of templates, Elementor offers a massive amount of templates and elements whereas Beaver Builder is quite simple.
It seems in overall Elementor is more powerful than the Beaver Builder. But still, in the end, the decision will be all yours. And let me remind you again, on average both of the page builders are amazing in their own way.
So I have covered the most important aspects of both elementor and beaver builder. As you can see both are extremely powerful page builders and can help you in creating beautiful websites.
If you want to create modern websites with your creative freedom then elementor is an ideal choice for you. But if you want a solid framework for your website which can be easily extended then beaver builder can be a very good option.
